Video Blog: What are Point-of-Purchase Displays?

Written by Jarrod Dizazzo, Vice President | Mar 17, 2016 12:00:00 PM

We have all been to the Wal-Marts, Sam's Clubs, and Targets of the world, and as we walk down the wide aisles, there are 360-degree, walk-around displays, showcasing different products. They have facings and graphics on all four sides that and can be shopped from all four sides.  These are point-of-purchase displays.

As you are walking through the aisles, notice that I have now made you aware of something you probably have never thought about, despite the fact that you have grabbed something off of it at one point or another. Now that you know what they are, you will notice them every time you shop!

As you look at each of the aisles, at the end of them is usually an end-cap display showcasing a product or several similar products by the same brand. These are also point-of-purchase displays.

point-of-purchase display is anything that will showcase a product that is not in its normal placement within the store, and is made of some sort of corrugated or metal material.

What Can Industrial Packaging Do With My POP Display Project?

We can start as early in the process as you want. We have the capability to design, provide, and set up the displays for you. If you have a consumer good and you're not sure how to get it to market, we are able to walk you from the birth of your project, right to the in-store set up.

I'm a huge fan of POP displays for a variety of reasons, and a lot of people don't understand how to go about getting one or bringing one to the market. We can help you understand how to get into a big-box store like Sam's, Walmart, or BJ's with your own display as well as how to construct, fill, and understand the different regulations and footprints that are allowed in the different types of retail outlets so that you have the optimal placement for your display!
